2/19/2018: Chieu Hoi Camp in Quang Ngai

This is another photo by me, taken on my road trip from DaNang to Quang Ngai and back during my “summer vacation” in VN in 1967. “Chieu Hoi” was officially translated as “Open Arms,” and was the program in which defecting VC/NVA were processed and returned to society. A defector was known as a “Hoi Chanh,” or “Returnee.”
